The single-page editing tool makes creating and editing processes really easy. You can do everything form process mapping to writing work instructions all in one convenient location.

Creating a new process

When creating a process, we try to do as much of the grunt work for you, so you do not have to bother with dragging and dropping every single role and activity into your diagram. You just tell us what you want in your diagram and we create everything for you. All you have to do is connect it and add details to the flow such as decision gates and the like.

Follow these steps to create a new process:

  1. Click the arrow next to 'New process' and choose 'Process Beta'

  2. Follow the wizard

    1. Choose a process name and outcome

    2. Choose the roles you would like in your swimlanes. You can choose as many or as few as you would like and you can drag and drop them to rearrange the order.

    3. Add the activities you need for each role

    4. Add events and/or decision gates and place arrows to connect your activities

    5. Fill in the needed information in your work instructions. You can scroll to your desired work instruction or simple click the table of contents on the top right.

    6. Click 'Save changes' and choose a Category and Group for your process

TIP! You do not need to complete all the steps of the guide to be able to save your process. Only roles and activities are necessary to create the process in your process hierarchy. You can then come back and finish it later.

Editing a process

The single-page editor is also great for editing existing processes, as you have everything conveniently in one place, so you can get all your editing done without having to click your way through multiple screens.

Follow these steps to edit an existing process:

  1. On the process page, click the full screen icon

  2. Switch the 'Edit' toggle on in the top right corner of the page

  3. Drag and drop new objects or re-arrange existing objects in the process diagram

  4. Add new or change existing information in the work instructions.

  5. When you are done, simply click 'Save changes'. If you do not want them to take effect, click 'Cancel'.

TIP! When you select text in a work instruction, the formatting menu appears.
